Certain characters like apostrophes, quotation marks, and inverted commas won't type on a DaDesktop machine
This irritating snag, though rare, pops up depending on your physical keyboard, language layout, and internationalisation settings.
This is a Windows only Issue
You can put things right by following these steps:
- Head to the Windows search bar and key in 'Settings'
- Choose 'Time & Language'
- From the left-hand menu, click the language option
- Then, under 'Preferred Languages', pick your preferred language and hit 'Options'.
- Next, select 'Add a keyboard' and pick the layout that matches your physical keyboard, like the US layout
- Get rid of any outdated keyboard layouts by clicking them and pressing 'Remove'
- Test by typing a single quote, ' ' ', a quotation mark, ' " ', and an inverted quote mark `.
