Creating from a Standalone Desktop
-
Head to the course you've set up (a demo course appears below). Then, switch to the Desktops tab, open the dropdown menu, and pick "Create from Standalone" to build your Fresh Start.
- Select the "Standalone desktop" you previously used to prepare the course environment (including software, materials, quizzes, and so on).
-
At this stage, you can adjust memory, CPU, and disk space if necessary. Once done, click "Create desktop".
-
Your Fresh Start is now ready, and both the Trainer and Participants can clone desktops from it.
A Fresh Start essentially acts as a master desktop within the course—you can clone it to all participants and the trainer in one go, and anyone in the course can restore from this Fresh Start when needed.
From the 'Cog' menu, you'll find a variety of other options, including cloning your Fresh Start to a Trainer, Participant, or a standalone machine, and even cloning with resizing. You can also move the Fresh Start to a different server, take snapshots, review recordings, or set up a remote replica. For more details, please refer to the relevant documentation on these features.
