Operating System Template Management
OS Template Naming Convention
We only use lowercase letters and hyphens in template names.
This naming convention must be followed for the application to properly classify and sort templates.
<os>
Do not include hyphens in the <os> portion.
<key><number>
For example:
centos8
debian12
win10
ubuntu2404
ubuntu2204
<template>
<os>-template-v<number>
Here are some examples:
debian12-template-v21
ubuntu2204-template-v17
kali-template-v2
<dd4w>
dd4w-tpl-lxc-<os>-v<number>
dd4w-tpl-kvm-<os>-v<number>
Remember, every template must start with 'dd4w-'. Here are some examples:
dd4w-tpl-kvm-win10-v5
dd4w-tpl-lxc-ubuntu2204-v2
Distribution
In this area, you can copy, remove, or compare all OS templates currently in your cloud. Keep in mind that moving a large number of templates may affect your server's network performance and overall user experience. For best results, carry out copy operations during off-peak hours.
Bulk Template Removal
We've recently introduced a feature that lets you delete templates in bulk from multiple servers at once. Previously a tedious, time-consuming task, it's now remarkably fast and straightforward.
- Simply pick a server that contains the template you need, then select 'Remove from .. ' (the 'Remove' option removes only a single template at a time)
- You'll see a list limited to the servers that actually hold that template.
- Check the boxes next to the servers from which you want to delete the template.
-
Press 'Submit' and confirm this action, and the templates will be removed
